Ulin and teak
Upper half of the band
Ironwood structure with teak planking and decks. The traditional premium standard.

Published bands, cost per metre, interior rates and the payment schedule. The numbers every other page on this site links back to.
Two boats of the same length can differ by a factor of two once the interior class and systems are chosen.
The bands below are honest planning ranges, published so an owner can budget before there is a drawing to price. They are not quotes, and no yard can give you one without a specification.
What follows is the arithmetic underneath them: cost per metre by length, interior fit out by class, timber by grade, and when the money actually moves.

Four project classes, and where a refit candidate sits against a new build.
Planning ranges in USD, not quotes. Final pricing follows the design brief and specification.
Cost per metre rises with length, because systems and structure do not scale linearly.
Per metre figures are derived from the contract values beside them, not quoted separately.
Interior class is the single biggest lever, and the line most likely to overrun.
Rates are per square metre of interior area, not of deck area.
Three timber grades
Timber specification is a lifetime decision, not a line item.
Five releases, each with something that has to be true first.
General arrangement, specification annex and milestone schedule all signed.
Surveyor sign off against the scantlings, released in two stages as the hull progresses.
Engines and generators aligned, electrical, plumbing and climate commissioned.
Trial acceptance criteria met and the certificate pack delivered.
Held to the end of the agreed defects liability period after delivery.
A yard asking for more than a third before the keel is laid is asking you to fund its cash flow, not your boat.

Send length, intended use and the interior class you have in mind. We reply with the band it lands in and what would move it.
